Android Manual Settings Tutorial

Manual VPN connection setup on Android devices can be done according to the following steps (this tutorial is for Android version 10 and above, while for previous versions the menu navigation is slightly different).

Preparation

Select Client Area -> Services -> active service

Obtain and note the following information:

• VPN server address that will be used
• IPSec pre-shared secret

Settings

1. Open Settings –> Connections –> More Connection Settings –> VPN

2. Click button + or Add VPN Profile to create new VPN connection

3. Enter name kemangVPN Jakarta (or other name according to the selected server location)

4. Select Type: L2TP/IPSec PSK Fill in Server Address with Server address that you want to use (see preparation steps above)
   Enter the IPSec pre-shared key (see the Preparation stage above)

5. Fill in Username with your username (see the activation confirmation email, check your spam box if necessary)

6. Fill in Password with your VPN password (see the activation confirmation email, check your spam box if necessary)

7. Select Save

8. Your settings are complete, and to activate the VPN, select the VPN Profile you just created, then press Connect

9. If the VPN is successfully connected, you will see the VPN symbol in your notification bar .

You can then use other applications as usual on your device. For example, opening netflix.com from your browser.
